About Treyday World
Treyday World is the outlet and escape for Emily Gauger, who started the project in the latter half of 2020. While it began from the desire to stay busy and creative on a small scale during covid, it has since morphed into a desire and a drive to keep the creative part of herself alive, and to connect with an incredible local community.

Origin
The "doll project" started with Emily's half-scale mannequin from RISD, some fabric and yarn collected over her time designing in NYC, and the need, during the pandemic, to make something that fit in her one bedroom apartment in Brooklyn. Having made dolls as a kid, she found it satisfying and calming to make small clothes, slow fashion, and build a world based on her experience and the characters in her life.
Emily's Background
Emily started sewing at a young age - her mom would give her cardboard with holes and a thick yarn and needle to "sew". Her parents encouraged her to make, build, draw, and paint. She became a fashion designer in NYC for many years, for the likes of Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Tory Burch, among others. She's since moved back to Massachusetts with her family where she's reconnected with the nature of the area, the local textile industry, and her desire to make.
